Our workshop has a dedicated in-house spray shop that allows us to achieve a flawless finish
to our painted furniture. Some pieces suit the more artisanal look of an expertly applied hand painted finish.
Whether sprayed or hand-finished, the Benjamin Moore paints we use help us to achieve an impeccable
and hard wearing finish, and offer an extensive choice of colours to suit every taste.
During the initial consultation, our main aim is to understand our client’s particular requirements, including stylistic preferences and the desired timeline for completion of the project. This is
important in order to gauge whether Purdom’s is a good fit for each project in terms of the clients budget and timescale needs.
We will supply a written estimated quotation for the design,
manufacture, finishing and fitting of the furniture based on the information our client gives us. The investment quoted may change in either direction depending on the chosen specifications of the
furniture. We will always discuss this with full transparency with our clients during the early stages of the process.
When a client decides to go ahead with Purdom’s Bespoke Furniture, we will ask for a deposit in order to commission our services and commence the purchase of required materials. This deposit counts as part payment towards the full project. We will discuss the timeline of works and completion.
Our collaborative approach and individualised service are at the heart of what we do. Purdom’s work closely with the client
in order to ensure the functional and design preferences are fully understood before the design process begins.
Our client’s
brief is then used as our inspiration in the creation of 3D visual drawings of their project. These life-like drawings that
set their commissioned pieces in their home help the client to start to see the project come to life. We are
here to support our clients on their design journey, and will liaise with them until they are happy
with their choices of style and finish, and the design is finalised.
Our dedicated team will manufacture and finish the furniture in our fully equipped workshop. We pride ourselves on our skilled craftsmanship and exceptional attention to detail. Purdom’s strive for excellence without compromise and our furniture will not leave the workshop until we are satisfied with the quality and finish of the work. Every piece is overseen and assessed by the director. We will continue to communicate and liaise with our client throughout this stage of the project. Our clients are welcome to make an appointment to come and visit our workshop to see where the magic happens.
Our team will aim to install your furniture within the agreed time-frame wherever possible.
As the manufacture and finishing take place within our workshop, the installation should cause minimum disruption for our clients.
It is important to our team to be respectful of our client’s home, and we will always protect existing
flooring and furnishings during the installation phase.
We always strive to keep the spaces as clean as possible throughout the fitting and will thoroughly clean up any
mess we have created once installation is complete.
Purdom’s want to leave your home with that extra-special piece that you will love and enjoy for years to come. Our team will contact you to make sure that your are happy with the new addition to your home.As we continually strive to improve and refine what we do, we will welcome your feedback on the process of working with us.
